Join the Horizon Q&A Guild sessions
Have you found yourself needing to ask your social media network for help or to sense check an idea but didn’t want your work colleagues to see you? This is something I remember feeling before and so I’ve set-up the Horizon Comms Guild group, a virtual community for internal comms professionals.
If you haven’t heard of Guild it’s a messaging platform for professional groups, networks and communities. A bit like WhatsApp but giving you the ability to start threads within groups and accessible via a web browser or an app.
Whilst I’m online most days, once a month between 8 and 9 pm (GMT) I’ll be hosting a live Q&A session, helping to answer any internal comms related questions you might have. It could be about professional development, channels or content and if I don’t have the answer, I’ll do my best to find out.
If you have a particular topic or theme that would be helpful to discuss, send me a message.
I’ve already received a few suggestions, so I’ve set some dates to cover these:
- Choosing a professional membership body – Monday 1 March
- Tips when looking for an internal comms role – Monday 21 June
- Supporting the launch of a champion programme – Monday 26 July
- CPD internal comms opportunities on a budget – Monday 23 August
If you miss a session fear not! No matter when you join, you’ll be able to participate in previous conversations and connect with other members. I’ve met some great people on Guild and do check out here the other groups and networks you can join.
