Join the Horizon ‘Ask me anything’ sessions on Guild

Have you found yourself needing to ask your social media network for help or to sense check an idea but didn’t want your work colleagues to see you?

This is something I remember feeling before and so I’ve set-up the Horizon Comms Guild group, a virtual community for internal comms professionals.

If you haven’t heard of Guild it’s a messaging platform for professional groups, networks and communities. A bit like WhatsApp but giving you the ability to start threads within groups and accessible via a web browser or an app.

Whilst I’m online throughout the week, once a month I’ll be hosting live, Ask Me Anything sessions, helping to answer any internal comms related questions you might have. It could be about professional development, channels or content and if I don’t have the answer, I’ll do my best to find out.

Just click on the ‘events’ tab in the Guild group to see all the upcoming dates.

I’ve already received a few suggestions including:

  • Choosing a professional membership body
  • Tips when looking for an internal comms role
  • Supporting the launch of a champion programme
  • CPD opportunities on a budget

If you have a particular topic or theme that would be helpful to discuss, send me a message.

If you miss a session fear not! You’ll be able to continue the conversations in the threads and connect with other members. I’ve met some great people on Guild and do check out here the other groups and networks you can join.
